We've all seen the commercials... Rogues climbing serene snowy mountains, or conquering an army of angry zombie-snowmen, racing through the city, maneuvering on a dime to beat your friends to Happy Hour, and lets not forget the Rogue's valiant contributions to defeating the villains of the Galactic Empire. Obviously, if you are driving this car your life will be full of unexpected adventure, fantasy, and general butt-kicking in epic proportions. Who doesn't want that?On a more serious note, the Rogue does stand out as an epically solid choice in the small crossover SUV category. Nissan knows how to fuse form and function into a vehicle with interior refinement, sharp styling and agile road handling that's all around fun and comfortable to drive. Based on the previous-generation Sentra sedan, the Nissan Rogue offers the sharper handling dynamics of a compact sedan with the versatility and cargo space of a small crossover. The high-quality finish of the dash, doors and seats gives the Rogue an upscale feel you won't find in many others in the segment.
The 2015 Nissan Rogue is a compact crossover offered in three trim levels: S, SV and SL. Two-row seating is standard, while a third-row seat is available on S and SV models. Standard equipment on the S includes 17-inch steel wheels, LED running lights, keyless entry, cruise control, air-conditioning with rear vents, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, a height-adjustable driver seat, a 40/20/40-split backseat (folds, slides and reclines), a 5-inch color infotainment display, a rearview camera, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, and a four-speaker sound system with a CD player, an iPod/USB interface and an auxiliary audio jack.
The Rogue comes standard with stability and traction control, four-wheel antilock disc brakes, front-seat side airbags, side curtain airbags (for all three rows when equipped), a rearview camera and hill-start assist. The all-wheel-drive system adds hill descent control. In government crash tests, the 2015 Nissan Rogue received four out of five possible stars for overall crash protection, with four stars for frontal crash protection and five stars for side crash protection. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has also tested the Rogue. Here, the Rogue received the highest possible rating of "Good" in both the small-overlap and moderate-overlap frontal-offset impact tests. It also received a "Good" score in the side-impact, roof strength and whiplash protection (seat and head restraint design) tests.
